We supply this VW T5 2.5 TDI intake manifold gasket and seal set for the five-cylinder PD diesel engine. Each option includes four intake manifold gaskets, five PD injector seal sets, a camshaft gear diamond washer and a camshaft end cap (bung seal).
Two gasket options are available. Choose the Elring metal gaskets for BNZ, BPE and BPC engines or the Victor Reinz rubber gaskets for AXD, AXE, BAC, BLK and BLJ engines. Check your engine code and compare the original gasket desgin before ordering. Model year alone doesnt reliably distinguish the two types.

Included with either option
- 5 × PD injector seal sets with VW OE kit references 038 198 051 B / 038 198 051 C. One set is supplied for each injector with the sealing rings and small fittings shown in the product photos.
- 1 × camshaft gear diamond washer with VW OE reference 070109421A. This is the thin slotted washer shown in the photo.
- 1 × camshaft end cap / bung seal with VW OE reference 070103407. This is the round cap shown beside the diamond washer.
The diamond washer and bung seal are included for camshaft work. The injector seals are for jobs involving removal of the PD injectors. Removing the intake manifold alone doesnt require you to remove the camshaft or injectors.
The injector seal OE numbers reffer to complete seal kits. The individual rings and small fittings arent separately numbered in this listing. This set doesnt include every gasket or bolt required for a full camshaft or cylinder head rebuild.
Replacing the manifold gaskets
Fit new intake manifold gaskets when removing the manifold for an EGR and intake clean or for manifold repair or replacement. They are also needed during engine work where the manifold has to come away for access.
A dirty EGR valve can be only part of the problem. Deposits may continue further into the manifold runners so cleaning the valve alone can leave a restriction behind. With the manifold removed inspect the runners and all five intake ports. Clean the removed manifold and gasket faces carefuly. Keep loose carbon and cleaning fluid out of the engine.

Vehicle fitment
Suitable for VW Transporter T5, Multivan T5 and California T5 models with the 2.5 TDI five-cylinder PD diesel engine from approximately 2003 to 2009. This set is not for the 1.9 TDI or 2.0 TDI engines.
Some VW Touareg 2.5 R5 TDI engines use the corresponding gasket desings. Touareg owners must check the engine code and original gasket references before ordering. Select Option 1 for BNZ, BPE or BPC and Option 2 for AXD, AXE, BAC, BLK or BLJ.
